Kraayeveld Invited to WNBA Pre-Draft Camp

EUGENE, Ore. ? Former University of Oregon women’s basketball player Cathrine Kraayeveld will be one of 40 invitees to attend the WNBA Pre-Draft Camp at the Madison Square Garden Training Center in Tarrytown, N.Y., from April 8-10.
Kraayeveld (Kirkland, Wash.), a 6-foot-4 forward, led Oregon in scoring (14.7), rebounding (8.3) and blocked shots (37) en route to All-Pac-10 and Region 8 All-America honors. In her career, she scored 1,151 points (14th all-time), grabbed 774 rebounds (eighth), made 81 shots from 3-point range (eighth) and had 28 double-doubles (fifth).
The three-round WNBA Draft is set for April 16 at 9 a.m. PST. The first round will be televised live on ESPN2 while NBATV will provide coverage of the second and third rounds.
Oregon has had four players drafted by the WNBA ? Shaquala Williams (30th pick in 2003), Edniesha Curry (41st pick in 2002), Jenny Mowe (21st pick in 2001) and Angelina Wolvert (43rd pick in 2001). No former Oregon players are currently on WNBA rosters.
The WNBA tips off its ninth season on May 21.
