West Regional Media Information
Assistant Athletic Director Dave Williford and Assistant Director Geoff Thurner will serve as media coodinators for the West Regional Championships.
Media credential application forms are available BY CLICKING HERE and must be returned to the Media Services office ASAP (F: 541-346-5449, and please call 541-346-5488 afterwards to confirm that the form was received).
Media credentials may be picked up at the ticket office Will Call window in the Bowerman Building on the northwest side of the track on 15th Avenue, and the office opens an hour before the first event each day.
Five shared phone lines will be available on press row for use by media at all times, and WiFi access can be arranged in advance by contacting Geoff Thurner of the UO-Athletics Media Service office at gthurner@uoregon.edu or by phone at 541/346-5488 several days in advance.
Post-race interviews will be conducted in the white media tent in the mixed zone adjacent to the finish line, on the west edge of the scoreboard fence. On the infield, video photographers are asked not to use tripods for the safety of the athletes and to preserve spectator's sightlines.
Live results will be updated during the meet at the www.NCAAsports.com website, and results packets will be available at the end of each night. Media requests for AP-style post-meet results via email can also be made to Geoff Thurner ( gthurner@uoregon.edu ) in advance, and links to results will also be available through the www.GoDucks.com website.
Opposing SIDs are encouraged to mail media guides in advance to the UO Athletics Media Services Office at 2727 Leo Harris Parkway, Eugene OR 97401 (P: 541-346-5488).
Media hoping to pick up credentials before Friday can call the SID office in advance and arrange for pick-up at the Len Casanova Center during normal business hours.
