May Named MPSF Newcomer of the Year, Bradley Also Honored

WOODLAND, Calif. -- Freshmen midfielder Jen May and attacker Jana Bradley were both named to the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women’s lacrosse team Friday as announced by executive director Al Beaird. May, a native of Davidsonville, Md, finished the 2005 campaign with a team-high 41 goals en route to conference Newcomer of the Year honors. Bradley, a native of Encinitas, Calif., finished second on the team with 30 goals.
"I think it is not only a tribute to how hard Jen and Jana worked, but a tribute to the entire supporting cast," Oregon head coach Jen Larsen said. "For a first-year program to have two all-conference honorees, it really gives us a lot of momemtum for next season."
Entering the conference tournament, May ranked fourth in the MPSF in goals and points and led the team in draw controls, caused turnovers and game winning goals. May scored three or more goals on seven occasions for the Ducks this season.
Bradley ranked second on the team in points and goals, while closing out the season with a three-goal effort in a win against Saint Mary’s.
