I can't believe this comes to an end. My last weeks of playing tennis for Oregon are coming up and I still remember my freshman year as if it was yesterday! There have are so many memories and I can honestly say these have been the best five years of my life. When I look back to my freshman year and I see how far we've come since then , I'm so proud and thankful for having been part of it. As a team, we've acquired so much confidence, belief and consistency, more than I ever could have imagined. We know we can beat anyone on a given day and it's a feeling we never had before.
This feeling has been growing since the arrival of Dasha (Daria Panova). Without Dasha, I don't think we would be at the level we're at right now. She brought so much hope and belief to this team by showing everyone it was possible to achieve the unachievable. I am so glad and honored to have experienced those amazing years with her. So again, thank you Dasha for everything you've done for this team!
We've been traveling to many other universities and meet many different teams and I can guarantee you that the ducks are unique! Not only are we supportive with each other ON the court but we also can't get enough of each other OFF the court! That's pretty amazing for a group of eight girls, specially eight very different girls! We all come from different parts of the world and we still manage to create this incredible chemistry between us. We complement each other so well and I love each of them to death. They've taught and inspired me so much in many different ways that I will never be thankful enough for it.
This weekend we?re getting ready to take on the Fresno State Bulldogs in the team NCAA regional. It's the last tournament that Dasha, Ester and I will be playing with the rest of team. We don't quite realize it yet but this is it, it is not come back! So let's give it all and show everyone what we're about.
For my last words, I would like to thank Jack Griffin and Nils Schyllander for giving me this opportunity to be a Duck. Without you guys I would never have experienced such amazing and memorable moments and I will never have met so many amazing people. So again thanks a lot! GO DUCKS!!!!
