Oregon Men?s Tennis Set to Open Season
The University of Oregon men’s tennis team will open their 2006 spring campaign with two home matches. The Ducks are set to square off against Santa Clara and Idaho.
The match with Idaho is scheduled for a 9 a.m., start Saturday morning.
"Idaho is a solid program, they are led by senior John Hieb and freshman standout Timothy Huynh," head men’s tennis coach Kevin Kowalik said.
The Ducks will then take on Santa Clara with first serve in that match slated for 3 p.m., Saturday afternoon.
"Santa Clara is a talented squad and should be quite a challenge for us," Kowalik said. "They are a very young team and could be very good in the near future."
