The California Community College Football Coaches Association first-team all-Region I defensive back accumulated six interceptions (103 yards) and one touchdown in nine games in 2005 to tie for ninth in the state while alternating between cornerback and safety. Posted 22 tackles and four picks in his final two games at safety for the Roadrunners last fall to garner all-Golden Valley Conference acclaim for the second year in a row. Played a major factor for a team that finished 12th in the state in total defense (282.2 avg.) his sophomore season. Also doubled as a track & field standout at the junior college level, qualifying for the California state meet in the 400 last spring and eclipsing a 25-year-old record in March at the California Community College Track & Field Championships with a time of 48.02. Wasted little time in adapting from the high school level, earning all-conference honors as a safety his initial junior college campaign. Epitomized his play as a freshman vs. College of the Redwoods, blocking one punt and returning it for a touchdown, recovering a later fumble and intercepting one pass.
