The PrepStar All-American is ranked among the top seven quarterbacks on the West Coast by the publication as well as the fifth-best recruit in Oregon by rivals.com. He completed 55 percent of his passes his senior year for close to 1,800 yards and 23 scores to earn honorable mention all-state accolades (The Oregonian). Also rushed for another 400 yards and five TDs. Passed for 1,617 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior in 2004 in addition to running for another 492 yards and six more scores. Defensively, was credited with three quarterback sacks, two caused fumbles and one interception in 2004 to earn second-team all-Metro League acclaim. The Wildcats lost in opening round of state playoffs to Tualatin to finish with a 7-3 record.
