Ducks On the Road for Two

The Oregon men’s tennis team will face two solid opponents this weekend in Southern California.
The Ducks will make a trip to Santa Barbara, Calif., to face UC Santa Barbara and UNLV.
The match with Santa Barbara is slated to begin at 1 p.m., Saturday. Santa Barbara is currently sitting in a tie with four other teams including the Ducks at No. 75. The Gauchos are 4-5 on the season having suffered a 7-0 thumping by another Pac-10 school, Washington.
“The team is looking forward to the two matches this weekend,” head coach Kevin Kowalik said. “We are ready to play against two very good nationally ranked teams.”
The Ducks follow up their match with UCSB by facing off against the University of Nevada Las Vegas Running Rebels, Sunday at 10 a.m. UNLV is ranked 59th in the latest Fila/ITA poll. The Rebels are 6-2, following a 6-1 loss to Fresno State in their most recent action.
“We have made some adjustments after last weekend and we are ready to play both of these teams and I look forward to some very good tennis,” Kowalik said.
