Duck Tennis Recruit Wins USTA National Open
HONOLULU, Hawaii ? Stephen Wiechert, who has signed a National Letter of Intent to play tennis next season for the University of Oregon, and his partner, Spencer Mendoza, won the doubles portion of the USTA National Open at Honololulu, Hawaii.
Wiechert and Mendoza battled stifling Hawaiian heat and top quality competition as they won the tournament. During their run to the finals the pair defeated the tournament’s number two seeded team of Holden Ching and Michael J Lim.
