Ducks Host Beavers, Look to Send Seniors Out on Top

The Week Ahead: The Ducks close out their home season with a Civil War brought to you by your Northwest Dodge Dealers, rematch against Oregon State. The match up will be the 105th in the Civil War Series for the two squads. Oregon State owns a distinct advantage in the series with a 78-24-2 all-time lead. Oregon has lost six-straight to their intrastate rival, including a 20-18 loss on Dec. 9.
Scouting OSU: Oregon State has three wrestlers currently ranked in the Top-20. Tony Hook is currently the No. 16 ranked 157-pounder in the nation. Jeremy Larson is sitting at No. 18 for 174-pounds. Ty Watterson is currently ranked No. 17 in the heavyweight division.
Last Week: The Ducks stumbled twice on the road in Pac-10 contests against UC Davis and Stanford. The Ducks lost 22-15 against Stanford, in a match featuring Joey Bracamonte’s first loss of the season. Against UC Davis the Ducks split the 10 matches but were unable to score enough points to obtain the victory.
Senior Day: The Ducks say goodbye to six wrestlers who will be hitting the mats at McArthur Court for the last time; Joey Bracamonte, Johnny Lugo, Chet McBee, Martin Mitchell, Skyler Woods and Shane Webster. Webster and Bracamonte are both defending Pac-10 champions. Webster is currently in ninth-place for career wins with 99. He can climb as high as second place (Scott Norton-111). Bracamonte a transfer from Lassen Community College has 65 career wins. Woods has scored 41 victories in his Duck career and McBee has 47.
