GoDucks.com Student-Athlete of the Week - Chamberlain Oguchi
Chamberlain Oguchi, a sophomore from George W. Bush High School in Houston, Texas, has been named GoDucks.com’s Student-Athlete of the week for the week of March 5th- March 11th, thanks to a strong performance in the Men’s Basketball Pac-10 Tournament in Los Angeles. In three games Oguchi averaged 21 points and 4.6 three-point baskets.
Against Washington State Oguchi produced a career-high 26-points and a total of six three pointers. Facing Washington in the quarterfinals Oguchi scored 22-points in a come from behind victory for the Ducks. In a double overtime loss to Cal, Chamberlain continued to excel with 15-points and eight rebounds.
A Pac-10 Tournament high of 14 three pointers helped Oguchi to be named All Pac-10 Tournament First Team.
