Lacrosse Heads to the Islands for Match with Johns Hopkins

The University of Oregon women’s lacrosse team will head to Honolulu, Hawaii for a neutral site match with No. 3 Johns Hopkins, Saturday at 5 p.m. (PST)
“We are working hard to prepare for a very talented team,” head coach Jen Larsen said. “We are thrilled at the opportunity to test ourselves against the No. 3 team in the country.”
The Blue Jays are undefeated with a sparkling 4-0 record; they are led by Mary Key a junior attacker. Key was named American Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week last week, as she scored 10 goals in two games against Ohio and Ohio State; she also chipped in six assists.
The meeting is the first ever between the two teams.
Oregon is currently 3-3 on the season and 2-1 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action.
The Ducks are led by sophomores Kate Fleming and Jen May. Fleming has 17 points on the season, as she has netted 13 goals and four assists. May has seven goals and seven assists for 14 points.
Last week the Ducks split their two games as they edged Davidson 13-11, but fell to Longwood, 15-10.
