Men Head to Bay Area for Tough Conference Tests

The University of Oregon men’s tennis team will head to the San Francisco Bay area for two tennis matches this weekend as they will face off with California and Stanford. First the Ducks will face Stanford beginning at 1:30 p.m., Friday. On Saturday the Ducks will face California with action set to get underway at 1 p.m.
Stanford, currently ranked No. 22 by Fila, recently beat Tulsa to improve their record to 8-2. The Cardinal is led by Matt Bruch and KC Corkery who are both ranked in the top-25, at 18 and 24 respectively.
California is currently 30th in the latest Fila poll, and is led by No. 11 Conor Niland. The Golden Bears recently got back in the win column after a, 5-2 defeat of TCU. A five match winning streak for Cal was snapped when they visited No. 2 Pepperdine and fell, 2-5.
Markus Schiller leads the Ducks and has had most of his playing time this season at number one, where he has compiled a solid 12-4 record on the season.
