Ducks End Season Against Huskies

EUGENE ? The University of Oregon men’s tennis team looks to close their season with a victory against the University of Washington in their final match of 2006 beginning at 2 p.m., in Seattle.
Oregon is currently 6-15 overall and 0-6 in the Pac-10. Washington comes into the match with a 17-4 overall mark and a 4-1 Pac-10 record in the Pac-10, as well as being the No. 18 team in the latest Fila/ITA rankings.
The Ducks suffered a close loss to USC in their last action, as the Trojans edged the Ducks, 4-3. Washington is riding a four match winning streak, having defeated the Arizona schools and USC and UCLA.
Markus Schiller leads the Ducks as he has played at the top of the lineup nearly every match. He currently has a 14-6 singles record and is currently ranked No. 76 nationally.
In helping the Huskies to wins over the Los Angeles schools senior Jean-Noel Insausti was named Pac-10 men’s tennis player of the week and has a 15-4 record in singles play on the season.
