Seremeta and Hirt Claim Invitational Title - University of Oregon Athletics

OJAI, Calif. ? The Oregon duo of Carmen Seremeta and Claudia Hirt wrapped up the Ojai tournament by claiming the Pac-10 invitational women’s doubles title after defeating, Wendy Pilecka and Rebecca Rankin of Arizona State Sunday, 8-6.

“Carmen and Claudia played a very solid match today,” head coach Nils Schyllander said. “Claudia’s serves were just huge and Carmen kept hitting shots in, keeping the Sun Devils on their heels.”

Seremeta and Hirt were a solid pairing all weekend as they rolled through the tournament.

“I was pleased with how they played today, I saw them working well as a team and making shots,” Schyllander said.

The Ducks will await word on their potential selection to the NCAA Team Tournament.
