Lacrosse Back on Pap? Field for Conference Clash with Denver

The University of Oregon lacrosse team will be back on their home turf, Friday for a 7 p.m., match with the University of Denver, at Pap? Field.
Oregon is coming off a successful road trip to the East Coast, where the Ducks went 2-1 with wins over Vermont and Marist, the Ducks lone setback on the trip was a loss to Colgate. The winning road trip improved the Ducks record on the season to 6-5 overall, the Ducks are 2-1 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. Oregon’s six wins tie last season’s record for most wins.
Denver is currently 9-2 on the season and 3-0 in the MPSF. The Pioneers are riding a seven-match winning streak, with wins over Saint Mary’s, Marist and Hofstra during the stretch.
The Pioneers are currently atop the MPSF standings with their 9-2 record, while Oregon sits in third place, one game behind No. 19 Stanford.
Last season the Pioneers defeated the Ducks in their first meeting, 17-12, in Denver, giving the Pioneers the 1-0 edge in the young series.
The game will be broadcast live over the internet on goducks.com, with John Strong handling the play-by-play duties.
Denver will also play Stony Brook, Sunday in a neutral site match on Pap? Field.
