Duck Men Sign Mexican Standout
EUGENE ? The University of Oregon men’s tennis team has signed Francisco Gallardo of Leon, Mexico to a National Letter of Intent, interim head coach Nils Schyllander announced Friday.
“We are pleased that Francisco has committed to the University of Oregon, he has a ton of valuable experience,” Schyllander said. “We are really looking forward to him playing high in the lineup and his doubles experience will have an immediate impact as well.”
Gallardo has achieved a world ranking by the ATP in both singles and doubles. He has won several matches against highly ranked players in his native Mexico.
“With these two recent signings I feel like we are getting the program moving in a very positive direction,” Schyllander said.
