Dearmon Named GoDucks.com's Student-Athlete of the Week
Oregon heavyweight Chirs Dearmon has been named GoDucks.com’s Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of January 7th to January 13th.
In the Ducks’ lone dual-meet last week Dearmon upset #14 Wade Sauer.
Dearmon was able to get an early lead in the match and fought off Sauer's late charge to take the 6-3 victory in the match. Having taken the heavyweight title in the Portland State last weekend, Dearmon attacked the top-ranked wrestler in the Pac-10 and showed that he is a part of the very deep group of elite heavyweights in the Pac-10.
