Leunen named GoDucks.com Student-Athlete of the Week
Junior forward Maarty Leunen has been named GoDucks.com’s Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of December 24th to December 30th.
The Redmond, Oregon native led the Ducks to victories over in-state rivals Portland and Oregon State. Against Portland, Leunen scored a career-high 24 points and grabbed an impressive 14 rebounds. The performance marked his fifth double-double of the season.
In the Civil War on Saturday, the forward added 14 points and 7 rebounds in a 76-73 win over Oregon State in Covallis.
The Ducks are now 13-0 and look to continue their success against Pac-10 rivals USC, on Thursday, and #1 UCLA, on Saturday.
