Ducks Look to Continue Hot Start Against UC Davis

This Week: The Ducks (1-0, 1-0) look to ride the momentum of defeating No. 16 Stanford into their second conference matchup to open the season as the take on the UC Davis Aggies (0-0, 0-0) at Pape’ Field on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Scouting UC Davis: The Aggies open up the year against the Ducks, having lost just two seniors to graduation last season - attacker Tiffany Lee and defender Nicole Frantz - but this year’s team will show a different face nonetheless. In addition to the departed seniors, UC Davis will play without All-MPSF honoree Katie McMahon, who has led the team in scoring in each of the past three seasons but has opted to sit out the upcoming year after undergoing offseason surgery.
Ducks to Watch: Junior Kate Fleming has nine goals in three career games against Davis. The junior midfielder colected five of those goals in Oregon’s 13-6 win over the Aggies in 2006. She has never scored less than two goals against Davis, tallying a pair in both contests in 2005.
Goalkeeper Anna Poponyak only allowed four goals in last year’s game agianst Davis, playing in just over 40 minutes.
Juniors Lindsay Killian and Theresa Waldron both tallied three points in last year’s meeting with the Aggies. Both had two goals and an assist.
