Ducks Primed for Pac-10 Tournament

This week: The Ducks (7-12, 2-8) head to the Pac-10 Tournament looking to make their cases for placement into the NCAA tournament. It will be the final opportunity for Oregon’s seniors to define their collegiate careers against the elite Pac-10 field. The top-three wrestlers in each weight class - plus nine wild cards - will advance to the NCAA Tournament in Detroit, Mich.
Live Broadcast of Pac-10 Tourney: For the first time ever, college wrestling fans across the country will have the opportunity to watch the 2007 Pac-10 Wrestling Championships live via online streaming video free of charge, available exclusively at www.pac-10.org. All four sessions, plus the Parade of Champions, will be available live as well as on-demand for six months. The top three wrestlers in each weight class and nine wild card selections will advance to the NCAA Championships at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan, March 15-17.
The online video streams will be produced and distributed by Turner Broadcasting, which also provides streaming video for many online properties, including CNN.com, NASCAR.com, PGA.com, and PGATour.com, as well as ACCSelect.com, a new broadband network offering exclusive coverage of hundreds of live events from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
Coach Kearney’s Take: “The guys understand that in the Pac-10 tournament everyone’s record is back to 0-0. Anybody can have a phenomenal weekend of wrestling of make a run worthy of national recognition and a berth in the NCAA tournament.”

Lee, Built Tough: Ronnie Lee, the Ducks standout at 174 lbs. should return in time for the tournament this weekend, the Central Point, Ore. native has been sidelined since the middle of January with a broken leg. The redshirt freshman still stands 6th on the team in wins with 17.
