Neutral Site Battles for No. 69 Ducks in Boise

This Week: The No. 69 Ducks (8-5, 0-0) head to Boise for a pair of neutral site matches as the face the No. 73 Utah Utes on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and the Penn Quakers (doubles on Sat. at 6:30 p.m., singles at 9:30 a.m. Sunday).
Ranked Ducks: Oregon rose in the ITA team rankings to No. 69 in the nation in this weeks poll. The Ducks entered the ITA rankings for the first time as a team on the Feb. 13th rankings, tied for 75th. This marks the first time since a year ago (Feb. 22) they have been ranked, when they were also No. 75.
Scouting Utah: The No. 73 Utes are coming off their first win over a ranked opponent this year as they defeated the No. 59 University of Denver, 5-2. Utah is led by the 50th ranked player in the country, Zach Granger, who has compiled a 19-4 record on the year, 5-1 in duals.
Scouting Penn: The Quakers have a 1-7 record on the year, but all seven of their losses have come at the hands of ranked opponents. They were undefeated in the fall season duals, as they faced four ranked teams, three from the Ivy League, of which they are a member. Junior Jason Pinsky occupies the top spot for the Quakers and has posted a respectable 6-4 record on the year.
Phenomenal Frosh: With a standard lineup that features five freshman, there were bound to be some growing pains for the Ducks, but the maturity of the young group has been noticeable throughout the year thus far as they have compiled a 31-20 record with only Marcos Verdasco posting a losing record (3-7). Verdasco has been playing out of the top position for the Ducks against some of the toughest competition in the nation.
