San Francisco Leads Duck Invite First Round

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. - The San Francisco women's golf team thrived in Monday's cool and breezy Duck Invitational first round and paced the field by seven strokes.
The Dons tallied 299 at Shadow Hills Country Club, and Washington State followed in second place (second, 306) ahead of Central Arkansas (third, 310), Boise State (fourth, 312) and Oregon State (fifth, 313), while the Ducks stood eighth (320) overall.
Nicole Forshner of Central Arkansas led the individual standings with a three-under 69, and was trailed by San Francisco's Jessica Potter (second, 71) and Boise State's Katie Street (third, 72).
Junior Victoria Wenslow, entered as an individual, posted UO's best score of the first round (eighth-tie, 75) and sophomore Cathryn Bristow and freshman Felicia Eastick followed in a tie for 20th place with their first round scores of 79.

Second round action continues Monday afternoon, and results will be posted by 7 pm barring unforseen weather conflicts. Third and final round action follows Tue. morning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
