Ducks Climb Past UCLA, OSU in ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25, Jump Five Spots in NFCA

EUGENE, Ore. ? The University of Oregon softball team climbed two spots in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll and begin play this week ranked 15th.
The Ducks, who are off to their best start in school history at 20-2, jumped ahead of No. 16 UCLA and No. 17 Oregon State, and are now the fifth highest ranked team among Pacific-10 Conference members in the ESPN rankings.
In college softball’s other major index, the USA Today/NFCA Top 25, Oregon improved five spots to come in at 17th.
Fresh off a tournament victory in Hawai’i last weekend, the Ducks remain out on the road to participate in the Eller Media Stadium Classic in Las Vegas, Thursday through Saturday. Oregon opens play against host UNLV in a doubleheader on Thursday.
