Steele & Gagliano Slated for Tuesday's Track Town Hall

EUGENE, Ore.—(March 30, 2007)—If you did not make it to the first “Tuesdays in Track Town” public forum focusing on the future of track and field in Eugene, then be sure to come out to Hayward Field on Tuesday, April 3rd.
Oregon Track Club Elite Head Coach Frank Gagliano, affectionately known as 'Gags' throughout the world of track and field, and University of Oregon Assistant Track and Field Coach Dan Steele will lead the program, provide updates and address questions at this month’s forum.
Participants will also have an opportunity to meet a few Oregon Track Club Elite athletes and hear about their short- and long-term goals.
The meeting will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Heritage Hall at the Bowerman Building, 1580 E. 15th Ave. just northwest of Hayward Field. Subsequent meetings will all be held on the first Tuesdays of the month, with the next meeting scheduled for May 1.
Vin Lananna, associate athletic director and director of track and field, was excited to see so many people at the first forum in March. “The great turnout demonstrates the keen interest this community has in the sport of track and field, and provides a great opportunity to talk about Hayward Field, the University of Oregon track and field program, the Oregon Track Club and the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials for track and field.”
