Rouillard earned her invitation after she won the Shadow Hills Country Club title in 2005. Last summer, she was a U.S. Women’s Amateur qualifier after she tied for third in the Oregon qualifier, and was only two strokes from making the cut in the national event.
McCready earned her bid thanks to her 2005 Oregon Amateur title over Kristen Svicarovich, 3 and 1, in the event at Pumpkin Ridge in Portland.
Earlier this season, the two-time All-Pac-10 honorable mention pick McCready wrapped up her collegiate career in late April’s Pacific-10 Conference Championships (24th, 79-80-78-237) on the par-72, 6,196-yard Broadmoor Golf Course in Seattle.
Overall in 2006-07, the Placerville, Calif., native paced the team in 10 of her 19 rounds of the campaign and had four rounds under-par this year, including a school record four-under (67) in the Stanford Intercollegiate final round, and three more rounds at par. She led the team in four of her seven appearances, including a win in the Baja Classic in early February, and had two other top-10 finishes. She was a Pac-10 honorable mention pick this season, as well as in 2005.
In the 2006-07 year-end GolfWeek national rankings, McCready ranked 98th nationally (74.49), and complete rankings are available at the www.Golfweek.com website at the http://www.golfweekrankings.com/college/womens1/individualrankings.asp URL address.
This weekend's tournament entrants must be the 2005 or 2006 Men’s or Women's Gross Club Champion of a regular OGA member club. Also eligible are 2005 & 2006 individual gross champions of any championship on the current OGA Men's, Sr. Men's, or Women's performance points list, as well as all past Women's OGA Amateur Champions, 2006 Junior Stroke play and Junior Match Play Champions, and the 2006 Men's Team Champions.
All players must be amateurs, OGA members, and at least 13 years old.
In other post-college season action recently, freshman Kate Hildahl claimed two wins in the championship bracket last weekend in the 98th Oregon Golf Amateur Championship, hosted on the par-72, 5,991-yard Columbia Edgewater Country Club course. Hildahl lost in the quarterfinal to Danielle Ranallo, and earlier had beaten Marcie Hoover, 3 and 2, and Amy Mombert, 3 and 2. The Tualatin, Ore., native Hildahl earned her spot in the 32-person championship bracket after she ranked 11th (80-79-159) in stroke play qualifying action.
