Valentine's Day Date: Ducks & Dawgs

WHAT’S ON TAP . . . Tied for seventh in the Pac-10 but just a game out of third, Oregon hosts the Washington schools in a crucial weekend of league play. The Ducks and the Huskies have an early Valentine’s Day date -- a 5:30 p.m. start courtesy of the Oregon Sports Network -- while Oregon and No. 21 Washington State will square off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 on FSN.
TICKETS . . . Approximately 75 obstructed view reserve remain ($17) for the Washington game. To purchase, call 541-346-4461 or visit the Athletic Ticket Office at the Casanova Center.
3-POINT MARK FALLS AT CAL . . . Oregon made a school-record 18 three-pointers during last Saturday’s 92-70 win at California. The 18 threes were also a Haas Pavilion record, and two shy of the Pac-10 record of 20 (USC versus Oregon State, 2000). The 18 threes were on better than the 17 the Ducks hit last season versus Portland State (Nov. 12, 2006).
IF 80 PERCENT FROM THE FREE THROW LINE IS GOOD . . . Then what does that say about Oregon’s second half performance last Saturday at California? The Ducks shot 80 percent from the field (16-of-20) AND 80 percent from three-point range (12-of-15) during the second half of their 92-70 win in Berkeley.
IN THE YEAR 2000 . . . Oregon’s 92-70 win last Saturday at California produced a number of results not seen by the Ducks since the 1999-2000 season:
*Won at Berkeley for the first time since Feb. 12, 2000 (64-60)
*Snapped a 16-game losing streak in the Bay Area (8 at Stanford, 7 at Cal, 1 at Saint Mary’s) dating to 2000
*Oregon’s first regular season sweep of Cal since 2000
MAC COURT MAGIC . . . The 2007-08 season marks the 81st year Oregon has played at venerable McArthur Court. In 81 years at Mac, Oregon has won 694 games. Since the beginning of the 2001-02 season (106 games) the Ducks have an 86-20 record at home (81 percent).
