Duck Trio Stand Top Four in Pac-10 Polls
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. ? In the seventh edition of the Pacific-10 Conference wrestling rankings announced this week, three Ducks remained top-four ranked among the 10 weight classes.
Redshirt junior Ryan Dunn (133) and redshirt freshman Charlie Alexander (heavyweight) each dropped a spot to fourth, and redshirt sophomore Kyle Bounds (157, fourth) held steady at his prior position.
One Duck improved this week, sophomore Zack Frazier (165, fifth), who climbed one slot for his highest ranking of the season.
Three of UO’s remaining wrestlers also held steady compared to last week’s positions - seniors Joey Lucas (125, sixth) and Marcus Myers (184, 10th) and redshirt junior Shaun Dee (197, eighth) ? and redshirt junior Cody Moulton (141, eighth) and redshirt sophomore Ron Lee (sixth, 174) each dropped two spots.
At 149 pounds, redshirt senior Elliott Tracy made his debut in the rankings and replaced redshirt junior teammate Jeremy McLaughlin who stood fifth last week
Overall, all 10 top seeds remained the same from last week and the list follows: senior Tanner Gardner, Stanford (125), junior T.J. Dillashaw, Cal State Fullerton (133), senior Chad Mendes, Cal Poly (141), senior Morgan Atkinson, Cal State Fullerton (149), junior Tyler Sherfey, Boise State (157), senior Patrick Pitsch, Arizona State (165), sophomore Nate Lee, Boise State (174), senior Ian Murphy, Cal State Fullerton (184), senior Jason Trulson, Arizona State (197) and junior Wade Sauer, Cal State Fullerton (285).
