NCAA Tournament Bids up for Grabs Versus ASU, Arizona

WHAT’S ON TAP . . . NCAA Tournament bids are up for grabs when Arizona State and Arizona visit Eugene. The final weekend of Pac-10 play begins with an early 5:30 p.m. Thursday game against Arizona State. Then it’s senior night when the Ducks host Arizona on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE . . . Oregon’s strength of schedule is one of the best in the country, ranking No. 4 by Jeff Sagarin’s College Basketball Ratings and No. 5 by Ken Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings. Sagarin also rates the Pac-10 as the No. 1 conference in the nation.
LEUNEN THREATENS SCHOOL 3-POINT MARK . . . SR F Maarty Leunen scored a career-high 32 points to lead Oregon past Oregon State 80-68 Sunday night in Corvallis. Leunen made 8-of-10 field goal attempts. He hit 7-of-8 from three-point range to take the Pac-10 lead in three-point field goal percentage (.529). Leunen’s current three-point percentage would be a school record (.500 by Anthony Lever in 2002), and would also be the second-best in Pac-10 history, trailing only Steve Kerr of Arizona (.573, 1988).
LONGMIRE COMING ON . . . FR G LeKendric Longmire has played well in the last two weeks. The Pascagoula, Miss., native had eight points Feb. 21 at USC and then scored a career-high 14 points last Sunday at Oregon State on six-of-six shooting from the field.
