Hairston, Leunen Named to NABC All-District Team
EUGENE, Ore. ? Seniors Malik Hairston and Maarty Leunen have been named to the NABC All-District 14 second team.
Hairston, from Detroit, Mich., leads Oregon in scoring at 16.0 points per game. He currently ranks eighth in career scoring at the University with 1,571 points and is sixth in career blocks with 69.
Leunen, from Redmond, Ore., is second on the team in scoring at 15.7 points per game and leads the Ducks in rebounding at 9.1 per contest. He is also shooting a Pac-10 best .529 from three-point range, which would be an Oregon single-season record. Leunen currently ranks third in career rebounding at Oregon with 866 and is also 18th in scoring (1,213 points) and seventh in steals (118).
The Ducks host Arizona State Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. in a game pivotal to both teams’ NCAA Tournament hopes.
