2007-08 Men's Basketball Season Wrap: Another NCAA Bid

ANOTHER NCAA BID . . . The 2007-08 season saw Oregon make back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances for just the third time in school history. It was also the fifth time that head coach Ernie Kent has led Oregon to the NCAA Tournament; half of the Ducks’ 10 all-time NCAA appearances have come under Kent.
PAC-10 LEADERS . . . Oregon led the Pac-10 in four statistical categories this season: scoring offense (76.6 points per game), field goal percentage (.480), three-point field goal percentage (.392) and three-pointers per game (8.7). It was the first time since 2001-02 (85.5 ppg) that the Ducks led the league in scoring and just the third time overall (1981-82/74.4 ppg) since the conference starting tracking such things in 1960. It is also the first time since 2001-02 (.487) that Oregon led the Pac-10 in field goal percentage and third time overall (1970-70/.460). On the three-point charts, it’s Oregon’s first time at the top in percentage since 2003-04 (.395), but the fourth time leading the league this decade and the fifth time overall since 1986-87.
