Women's Tennis Signs First Recruit

Eugene, Ore.,-- The Oregon women’s tennis team has announced Trudie du Toit as their first recruit to sign a national letter of intent for their 2008-2009 season.
“She is a tremendous athlete who will come in and make an immediate impact in our singles and especially our doubles line up,” Head Coach Paul Reber said.
Du Toit is a South African who now lives in Abbotsford, BC Canada. Her national rankings are no. 9 in singles and no. 13 in doubles. Her international ranking (ITF) is 500.
“Her personality and athleticism are going to greatly help our program. We are extremely excited for her to be joining us in September.”
The Ducks (10-12 overall, 3-5 league) wrapped up their regular season play last weekend against the bay area schools and next travel to California for the Pac-10 Championships Thursday April 24th-Sunday April 27th.
