Men?s Golf Returns to Stanford for First Time Since 2006

EUGENE, Ore. ? The Oregon men’s golf team heads to the U.S. Intercollegiate at Stanford University for the first time since 2006. Teams will play 36 holes Saturday and 18 Sunday at the 6,835-yard, par-70 Stanford Golf Course.
The Ducks will play with the same line-up they have used all spring. That quintet, which has produced eight top-six finishes this season, includes seniors Joey Benedetti and Derek Sipe and freshmen Jack Dukeminier, Sean Maekawa and Isaiah Telles.
Teams in the field include No. 3 UCLA, No. 5 USC, No. 20 Arizona State, California, UC Davis , UC Irvine, Minnesota, Nevada, Northern Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Texas Christian, Toledo and Washington.
Both Oregon seniors have had success at Stanford before. In 2006, when both were sophomores, Benedetti tied for 12th at 145 and Sipe tied for 15th at 146 in a tournament that was shortened to two rounds due to rain.
