Beat Feet to Pepsi Meet; First 1,000 Fans Get Free Pedometers

EUGENE, Ore. ? The University of Oregon will be giving out free pedometers to the first 1,000 fans through the gates at Saturday’s Pepsi Team Invitational. The four-team meet featuring men’s and women’s squads from Oregon, Washington, Minnesota and Penn State starts at 12:30 p.m., with Hayward Field gates opening to fans at 11:30 a.m.
Fans will also receive $1 off the price of admission when bringing an empty Pepsi product to the ticket window. Both the pedometers and the $1 off special are courtesy of Pepsi.
The Pepsi meet is also meet number two of the season-long Bi-Mart promotion; those fans who bring their special Bi-Mart punch card to all six home meets this season will receive a limited edition commemorative poster at the end of the year.
Other season-long promotions taking place during the Pepsi meet include on-going raffle drawings at the marketing and promotions booth. Prizes include a pair of 2009 season tickets and autographed apparel.
Oregon men’s and women’s track and field student-athletes will be available for autographs at the conclusion of Saturday’s Pepsi Invitational.
