Benedetti Named to All-Pac-10 Second Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Oregon senior Joey Benedetti was named to the all-Pac-10's second team, the conference announced Friday.
Benedetti, from Huntington Beach, Calif., leads Oregon with a 72.4 scoring average and had seven top-20 finishes in 2007-08, including a tie-for-18th in the recently completed Pac-10 championships.
He had his career best finish earlier this season when he placed second at the Oregon Duck Invitational in March.
Benedetti becomes the first Duck named to the all-Pac-10 team since Matt Ma in 2005 (second team).
Benedetti and his teammates are awaiting a bid for the three 2008 NCAA regionals, which will be announced at 3 p.m. PDT on Monday.
