Oregon-USC Football Game to be Televised on ABC/ESPN at 5:00 P.M.

The University of Oregon’s Oct. 4 football game at USC will be televised on ABC or ESPN as part of the networks’ prime time national college football package, according to an announcement by the Pacific-10 Conference.

Kickoff for the game in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will be approximately 5 p.m. (PDT).

The Oregon-USC game was one of 15 televised contests announced by ABC/ESPN involving Pac-10 schools, with another five telecasts to be chosen either six or 12 days prior to the event.

Two of those five dates could impact Oregon home games ? Oct. 11, when UCLA plays in Autzen Stadium; and Nov. 15, Arizona at Oregon. Two other dates would potentially involve the Ducks on the road ? Oct. 25 at Arizona State, and Nov. 1 at California.

Kickoff times for each of the four possibilities would be 12:30 p.m.

Consistent with previous seasons, kickoff has tentatively been set for 12:30 p.m. for each of Oregon’s six home games unless a change in game time is necessitated to accommodate live television.

As part of the Pac-10’s television contracts, Fox Sports Net and Versus television selections for the 2008 football season will be provided on June 1. Only home games involving Pac-10 schools fall under the league’s television contracts.

Any television announcements regarding the Ducks’ Sept. 13 game at Purdue will come from the Big Ten Conference.
