Ducks Name Bryson LeBlanc Volunteer Assistant Baseball Coach

EUGENE, Ore. ? University of Oregon head baseball coach George Horton has announced the hiring of Bryson LeBlanc as volunteer assistant coach for the Ducks’ reinstated program which will start play in 2009.
LeBlanc, who has spent the past several months serving as Oregon Baseball Camps Coordinator, is currently working on earning his Master’s Degree in Sports Business Administration. He will work closely with Coach Horton, assistants Jason Gill and Andrew Checketts, and Oregon's first class of baseball student-athletes in 27 years.
"I am extremely proud that Bryson LeBlanc has accepted the volunteer coaching position," Horton said. "Bryson brings to the staff a wealth of knowledge and a disciplined work ethic. The announcement of Bryson completes one of the best young assistant coaching staffs in the country."
A 2006 graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in Biological Sciences, LeBlanc played baseball for Coach Tim Jamieson and the Tigers for two seasons after transferring from Delgado Community College in 2004.
"I can't wait to work with Bryson and see him work at
developing our outfielders," Horton said. "He comes to us from a very fine baseball
program at the University of Missouri."
As a senior, the New Orleans native helped Mizzou reach the Super Regionals for the first time in school history, advancing out of Malibu as a No. 4 seed before losing to Coach Horton’s host Cal State Fullerton squad. That season, he was named Mizzou Baseball Performance Athlete of the Year.
