Hildahl & Ressler Tabbed to Pac-10 All-Academic Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. ? University of Oregon sophomore Kate Hildahl and junior Blair Ressler were tabbed to the Pacific-10 Conference’s All-Academic Teams in Wednesday’s annual announcement by Commissioner Tom Hansen.
Hildahl, an accounting major, claimed All-Academic Second-Team honors thanks to her athletic accomplishments and 3.52 cumulative grade point average. Ressler was tabbed as an honorable mention, and both honors were the players’ first of their careers.
To be eligible for the award, players must be returnees for the squad, be at least a sophomore academically, maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, and be a starter or significant contributor.
Hildahl shined on the course in the spring slate, and led the Ducks in the final standings in the Pac-10 Championships (16th, 75-70-81-226) and Lady Gator Invitational (27th, 77-73-74). Among her 33 individual rounds of action this season, she paced UO four times, and lowered her career best to 70 with her second round score in the league championship.
Ressler saw the most extensive action of her Duck career and played seven events ? including six for the team and one as an individual ? and her season best (2-over 74) was only one shot off her career best. She ranked top four in final tournament standings for the Ducks in three events.
The duo became the 13th and 14th honorees in eighth year head coach Shannon Rouillard’s tenure with the Ducks, and the Ducks have had at least two honorees in five of Rouillard’s seasons, including three in 2004 ? the second-highest tally in school history.
