Oregon 99, Concordia 66 - Postgame Quotes
Oregon vs. Concordia (Exhibition)
Nov. 1, 2009 - Eugene, Ore.
Head Coach Ernie Kent
On getting out on the court: "It felt good to get out there you always get tired of beating ourselves up in practice."
On rhythm of the game: "There was a stretch in the first half where we got out of rhythm, there were in the bonus, and we had what I would consider a tough hot selection. We need to work on our conditioning so we can run the whole game. Our tempo allows us to keep the game fast, it forced turnovers, and lead to some good numbers for us."
On Malcom Armstead: "Obviously there were some times where you got a chance to see that Malcom Armstead is going to be a very, very good player."
On Jamil Wilson: "Jamil played very within himself. For a freshman he’s going to be a very good player at this level, especially for his first time out there playing in front of a crowd."
On running the press and exhibition games: "We had talked to Concordia and told them we were going run. This game was about playing ball, working on some things, and getting better."
On Teondre Williams: "He has poise, he's coachable, had a great spring, really built up his body to go with his big time athleticism."
On the point guard play: "I feel like I have three really good players I can put at that position."
On the starting lineup: "Can’t read anything into it, we have a lot of guys we can throw in there for exhibition games."
On LeKendric Longmire: "His athleticism and energy is really disruptive for other teams and allows him to shine in different aspects."

#21 Jamil Wilson - Fr., F
On how it felt to get out and play: "I feel I did alright, conditioning needs to get a little better. I have a feeling of what I need to do. The jump from high school to college is faster and more physical and I need to work harder in practice."
On playing in the pit: "The crowd was pretty up. They have the potential to be our 6th man. I can’t even imagine until conference comes around. I hope I don’t get distracted."
----
#32 Teondre Williams - So., G
On playing the first game: "It felt great, all the hard work from the off season 'til now, it all paid off."
On his off season: "I went back to Atlanta and talked with my mom. I came back really refocused and with a mindset that I’m going to be a lot better and during the summer I built a lot of confidence."
