Drummond Named MPSF Co-Player of the Week

WOODLAND, Calif. ?- University of Oregon midfielder Jana Drummond was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation co-player of the week following her school record seven-goal performance at Cal last weekend.
Drummond, a freshman from Nashua, N.H., scored the second-most goals in a single game by any conference player in MPSF history during UO's 13-12 sudden-victory loss against the Golden Bears. She also added a pair of goals in the Ducks' 17-10 win at Saint Mary's, totaling nine goals on 11 shots for the week.
Cal goalie Morgan Dyson, who allowed all of Drummond's tallies, shared the weekly honor for making a career-best 16 saves.
The second-seeded Ducks (11-4, 4-2) open MPSF tournament play on Thursday in Stanford, Calif., against No. 7 seed Fresno State (0-13, 0-6).
