Rector, van den Berg Named to MPSF All-Tournament Team
STANFORD, Calif. -- University of Oregon lacrosse seniors Casey Rector and Ilsa van den Berg were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation all-tournament team, league officials announced Monday.
Van den berg was UO's fifth-leading scorer in the tourney, recording four points on three goals and one assist over two games. Rector added two goals and an assist, and led the Ducks (12-5) with seven draw controls. The all-tournament honor was a first for both players.
Oregon's season ended in the MPSF semifinals, losing by a 10-9 count to No. 3 seed California. Top seed and host school Stanford won its fifth straight title.
