Walker's Pace: Shake Ups in the Latest USTFCCCA Poll

Walker's Pace: Shake Ups in the Latest USTFCCCA Poll
Wednesday, May 6, 4:15 p.m. PDT
After a number of fairly static weeks in the USTFCCCA poll, there was quite a bit movement this week, partucularly on the women's side.
Texas A&M remained solidly at the top of the women's poll, but Florida State jumped three spots to No. 2, LSU came in at No. 3 and Oregon slipped two places to No. 4. And making a huge move up four spots to No. 5 was USC. Arizona State was ranked seventh, giving the Pac-10 three teams in the top seven.
That should make for an exceptional Pac-10 Championships next weekend at Historic Hayard Field. Click here to get your tickets to the Pac-10 Championships and all other home meets.
The top four in the men's poll were unchanged -- Florida, Oregon, Texas A&M and Arizona State. Making the move up to No. 5 was Arkansas -- host of the 2009 NCAA Championships. The Pac-10 was well-represented this week with Stanford at No. 13, USC at No. 14, Washington at No. 15, California at No. 16 and Washington State at No. 19. That's pol-best seven teams in the top 20.
