It's the final day of the NCAA Track and Field Championships and Oregon is in the trophy hunt in both the men's and women's competitions. The Pace will be here at John McDonnell Field posting updates throughout the day, so be sure to check back frequently. We'll post the newest info at the top of the blog.

For those who would like to welcome home the nation's two runner-up teams -- and really celebrate what an amazing year it's been in Track Town -- please come out to the Casanova Center at 8:30 tonight to welcome the teams back home. We have the greatest track fans in the world, and thanks to all of you who followed along with us on the Blog. Go Ducks!

The men of Oregon matched the women with a second-place trophy at the NCAA Championships! Texas A&M used a second-place finish in the 4x400 meter relay to win with 48 points. The Ducks, Florida and Florida State were all tied for second with 46 points.

The women of Oregon will bring home a second-place trophy! It is Oregon's best finish since winning the title in 1985. Texas A&M wins the meet with 50 points, followed by Oregon with 43 and Arizona State with 41.
11:30 a.m. PDT
Well, it comes down to the men's 4x400 relay. Oregon leads with 46 points, but has no entry in the relay. Of the teams in the 4x4, Florida has 41 points, Texas A&M has 40 and Florida State -- the top seed -- has 36. Hold on!
Meanwhile, Texas A&M has wrapped up the women's title, but Oregon will take home the silver medal as long as Arizona State finishes no higher than third in the 4x400 relay.
11:00 a.m. PDT
Andrew Wheating gutted out a victory in the 800 meters for his first NCAA Championship. He ran 1:46.21 to clip Tevan Everett of Texas by .06. The Duck men continue to lead with 46 points, followed by LSU with 34. Texas A&M has advanced four men to the finals of the triple jump. The Aggies are sitting on 14 points.

After the women's 800 the Blog can confirm that the women of Oregon will win a trophy (top four finish) for the first time since 1992. The race for the title is down to Oregon, Texas A&M, Arizona State and Michigan.

Keshia
Baker set the school record by running 51.29 in a fifth-place finish in the women's 400 meters. That makes Oregon's final team total 43 points. Texas A&M now has 27, USC 21 and Arizona State 20. The Ducks have also now secured a top-six finish.

With Keshia Baker and the women's 400 on tap in about 30 minutes, here's a quick look at the team races. For the women, Oregon has assured itself of a top seven finish, which will be the Ducks' best finish in 16 years. Oregon currently leads with 39 points. Other teams with the potential of scoring at least 39 points are Texas A&M, Arizona State, Florida State, Michigan Louisiana State and Texas.
On the men's side, the Ducks already have secured a top-nine finish with 36 points coming into the day. Other teams capable of reaching 36 points include Texas A&M, Florida, Louisiana State, Florida State, South Carolina, USC, Arkansas and Stanford.
