Team Stunts and Gymnastics Signs 13 Student-Athletes for 2009-10 Season
EUGENE, Ore. - Head coach Felecia Mulkey has announced the signing of 13 additional student-athletes to financial aid agreements to compete for the Oregon Team Stunts and Gymnastics squad. With 13 more signings, the 2009-10 Team Stunts and Gymnastics squad currently has 29 members, 22 incoming student-athletes and seven currently on campus.
Maegan Campbell, Kelsea Carlson, Amber Fillpot, Karissa Fogel, Brittany Hart, Naomi Hoffman, Christy Jeppsen, Lauren Loos, Lynn Risinger, Kelsey Rowell, Samatha Schulze, Annie Schwab and Chelsea White will join the Ducks prior to the 2009-10 season.
"I am
incredibly proud and happy to see this team start to take shape," said
Mulkey. "We have worked very hard on finding the best student-athletes
to create this program from scratch at Oregon and I have high hopes for
the upcoming season."
The incoming group of 13 is made up
of 12 high school seniors and one transfer from Oregon State and six
are from the state of Oregon. They will join the three other previously
signed high school seniors and six transfers in Eugene for the upcoming
2009-10 season. The Ducks will begin competition during the winter term
with the national championships in Daytona Beach, Fla. scheduled in
early April.
The Ducks currently have seven members of the team
(Tori Mayard, Britta LeBlanc, Jordan Potter, Laura Dart, Grace Kuo,
Morgan O'Donnell and Rali Manolova) on campus practicing twice weekly
in the Moshofsky Center.
