Eastick Set For Asian Collegiate All-Star Trip

EUGENE ? University of Oregon junior Felicia Eastick will join many other top West Coast collegiate women’s golfers on the 26th annual 2009 Collegiate All-Star Golf Team that will compete in a series of tournaments in Asia the next two months.
The Queensland, Australia, native is part of a 10-person team that will play the NCAA All-Star Invitational in Palos Verdes Golf Club in Los Angeles, Wed., June 24, and then leaves the next day for Tokyo, Japan for the trip that lasts from June 25-July 19.
The 11 tournaments in Asia will be held in Japan (Tokyo, Camp Zama, Atami and Chiba), Hong Kong and South Korea.
“I’m so excited to be selected,” Eastick said. “I originally heard about it when I was recruited by UO and wanted to go back then. It’ll be great to play on several top-10 ranked courses in each country, and it’ll be better for my summer practice since it’s winter back home in Australia. I had been part of a Japanese immersion program in high school, so I’m thrilled to be a part of their environment, language and culture.”
The rest of the 2009 Collegiate All-Star Golf Team follows: Kellye Belcher (Indiana), Lalita Boonnoppornkul (UCLA), Annie Brophy (Notre Dame), Michelle Grilli (Princeton), Amanda Keith (BYU), Liisa Kelo (Arizona State), Harriet Oweers-Bradley (Yale), Brittany Smith (UC Davis) and Christina Stockton (San Francisco).
