EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon senior guard Taylor Lilley has been selected to take part in the State Farm Slam Dunk and Three Point Championships at the 2010 NCAA Final Four in Indianapolis on Thursday night.
The 22nd annual State Farm College Slam Dunk and Three-Point Championships are making their first official appearance at the NCAA Men's Final Four. The event will be televised on ESPN, and will bring together college basketball's top three-point shooters and slam dunk artists competing in four separate competitions: men's three-point shooting, women's three-point shooting, men's vs. women's three-point champions and the slam dunk competition.
The event will air at 6 p.m. PST, Thursday on ESPN. A full participant list has not been released yet.
Lilley’s leaves Oregon as undoubtedly the program’s most prolific 3-point shooter. The senior set a trio of records at Oregon, and leaves the women’s basketball program with the single-game (9), single-season (124) and career (270) records for 3-pointers.
This season, Lilley averaged a team-leading and career-high 17.7 points per game. She was named to the Pac-10 all-conference team for the second time in her career, and was also voted Team MVP by her Oregon teammates.
Her 124 3-pointers this season lead the country, and rank third all-time in NCAA single-season history. The total was also a new Pac-10 single-season record. Lilley’s 270 career 3-pointers rank third all-time in the Pac-10.
Lilley scored 601 points during her senior season, a number that ranks fifth in Oregon single-season history. Lilley’s 1,415 career points rank seventh all-time.
The Ducks finished the year 18-16, with the program’s most wins since the 2004-05 season. Oregon advanced to the third round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament before falling shy of the quarterfinals after a 71-57 loss to California last Thursday night at Mac Court.
