Ducks Third After One Round at U.S. Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. -- The sixth-ranked University of Oregon men's golf team stands in third place after the completion of the opening round at the U.S. Intercollegiate at Stanford Golf Course, shooting 6-over 286.
Washington was the low team through 18 holes at 1-over followed by UCLA at 3-over.
Daniel Miernicki shot even par 70 to pace the Ducks and heads into the second round tied for 11th, four strokes behind UC Irvine's John Chin, who grabbed the early lead with a 66. Andrew Vijarro was 1-over, Eugene Wong 2-over and Jack Dukeminier 3-over. Isaiah Telles' round of 5-over 75 was not factored in the team scoring.
The 20-team field will attempt to complete Round 2 on Monday afternoon.
