Walker's Pace: Women Stay No. 3, Men Fall to No. 9

It was a little tough to read the e-mail containing this week's USTFCCCA poll that has the Men of Oregon all the way down at No. 9. After spending much of the last two seasons in the top three, we were a little spoiled and, well, nine was just a shock to the system.
But have no fear. This is the week that last year's performances were dropped from considerations for rankings purposes. From this week forward, only 2010 marks are factored into the poll. And beacuse of that, Oregon suffered the biggest drops of any team: Cyrus Hostetler in the javelin and Andrew Wheating in both the 800 meters and 1,500 meters.
The good news is that both are expected to be in action at this weekend's Oregon Relays, presented by Oregon Community Credit Union.
Meanwhile, the Women of Oregon continue to hold steady at No. 3, behind LSU and Texas A&M..
