MEN'S 4X400 RELAY

Final team scores: Oregon 168.50, USC 156, Stanford 92, Arizona State 85, UCLA 85, Washington 68, Washington State 67, California 59, Arizona 26 Oregon State 6.50.
MEN'S TRIPLE JUMP
Brian Schaudt used a leap of 48-10.25 to take sixth in the triple jump.
WOMEN'S 4x400 RELAY
The Ducks team of Alexandra Davidson, Anne Kesselring, Chloe Steinbeck and Becca Friday finished seventh in 3:47.26.
Final score for the women:
Oregon 215, Arizona 109, Arizona State 89.50, USC 89, Stanford 88, UCLA 71.50, California 55.50, Washington State 52, Washington 47.50
SCORE UPDATE
Results from the triple jump haven't been posted, but after the triple jump, we know Oregon's men leads 160.5 to USC's 146. That means the Ducks have their fourth straight pac-10 title. Also, Andrew Wheating is running the second leg of the 4x400 relay.
MEN'S 5,000 METERS
Gutsy performance by A.J. Acosta (13:46.87), who took third in the 5,000 meters. Michael Maag (14:01.66) was also eighth as Oregon picked up seven points. That leaves the score at Oregon with 160.5, USC 131. With two events remaining, the triple jump and the 4x400 meter relay. The Trojans look to be scoring big in the triple, but the Brian Schaudt is also in the final for the Ducks.
WOMEN'S 5,000 METERS
Oregon broke just about the last record out there with a 1-2-6 finish in the 5,000 meters. Senior Nicole Blood became the first woman in since Oregon's Stephanie Wessell in 1991 to win both the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. She did that by winning the 5,000 meters in 16:06.74 on Sunday. Alex Kosinski was second in 16:06.84, while senior Mattie Bridgmon was sixth in 16:26.65. That's 21 points in the 5,000.
That also gave Oregon 213 points with the 4x400 meter relay remaining. That means that Oregon needs to finish sixth or better to break the school's conference scoring record of 215 points set at the 1983 NorPac Championships.
MEN'S HIGH JUMP
USC won the event with Manjula Kumara Wijesekar clearing 7-2.5. Oregon countered with David Klech tying for seventh at 6-10.25. With three events remaining (5,000, triple jump, 4x400), it's Oregon 153.5, USC 131.
SCORING UPDATE
The men's competition is tightning up, with Oregon at 152 and USC at 121. The Trojans also won the high jump and are competing in the triple jump, so the meet is still up for grabs.
Meanwhile, the Oregon women have won 10 events thus far, which surpasses the previous high of eighth set at the 1983 NorPac Championships.
WOMEN'S 200 METERS
Amber Purvis and Keshia Baker went 1-2 in the 200 meters to lead Oregon to a Pac-10 record total for team points. Purvis won in 23.14, while Baker was second in a personal-best 23.41. That was the No. 3 mark all-time at the university. As a team, Oregon now has 192 points with three events remaining. That point total surpasses the previous Pac-10 record of 189.5 established by UCLA in 1997.
MEN'S 400 METERS
David Klech took fifth in 51.96. Oregon's lead is 152-103 with five events remaining. The Trojans will score big points in the 200 and high jump and triple jump, which are still going on.
MEN'S 800 METERS
Andrew Wheating won his third straight Pac-10 title in the 800, running 1:47.77. Elijah Greer ran second in 1:48.66, while Travis Thompson was fifth in 1:49.33. Oregon now shows 148 points, with USC second with 96 points.
WOMEN'S 800 METERS
Oregon continues to rack up the points in the women's competition. Freshman Anne Kesselring won in 2:04.36, with Zoe Buckman third in 2:05.85, Becca Friday fifth in 2:05.89 and Chloe Steinbeck sixth in 2:07.54.
MEN'S 100 METERS
Ashton Eaton just missed becoming a four-time Pac-10 champion in 2010, finishing second to USC's Ahmad Rashad. Rashad won in 10.20, with Eaton second at 10.33. That's the seventh-fastest time in school history. Freshman LaMichael James took fifth in 10.72.
WOMEN'S 100 METERS
Amber Purvis became just the second Oregon woman to win the 100 meters, matching her school record in 11.38. Mandy White was fourth in 11.79.
MEN'S 400 METERS
Chad Barlow took fourth in 47.01.
WOMEN'S 400 METERS
Keshia Baker set school and meet records in winning the 400 meters for the third straight year. She clocked a blistering 50.76, snapping the mark of 50.90 by UCLA's Monique Henderson in 2004. Junior Michele Williams was third in that race in a personal-best 53.92. That was the eighth-fastest 400 in school history.
MEN'S 110 HURDLES
Ashton Eaton won his third event of these championships, taking the 110 meter hurdles in 13.54. That was the second-best time in school history. In a bit of bad news for the Ducks, junior David Klech, who finished fourth was disqualified for a trail leg violation.
WOMEN'S 100 HURDLES
Brianne Theisen finished fourth in 13.43.
MEN'S 1,500 METERS
All four Ducks scored with Matthew Centrowitz winning in 3:41.16. A.J. Acosta was second in 3:41.83, Mac Fleet in 3:43.21 and Jordan McNamara fourth in 3:45.00. Ducks now lead with 99 points.
WOMEN'S 1,500 METERS
Zoe Buckman was the winner in 4:15.95, while Jordan Hasay took third in 4:16.00 and Alex Kosinski was fourth in 4:18.93.
MEN'S 4x100 RELAY
The Ducks (Vernell Warren, Ashton Eaton, Kenyon Barner and LaMichael James) finished fourth in a season-best 40.36 to score five points in the team competition.
WOMEN'S 4x100 RELAY
The women's quartet of Mandy White, Amber Purvis, Keshia Baker and Jamesha Youngblood obliterated the school record they set just yesterday (43.81) in winning the final in 43.27. The win also officially moved Oregon into the lead in the women's competition.
WOMEN'S TRIPLE JUMP
Jamesha Youngblood has won the triple jump with a wind-aided 43-7.75 on her third attempt. Though that mark was windy, her first attempt of 43-5 was wind legal and will go into the books as the new school record. Just for good measure, she jumped 43-3.25 on her second attempt, which was also better than her previous school record.
Youngblood becomes just the second woman in Pac-10 history to win back-to-back titles in both the triple jump and the long jump. She joins Stanford's Erica McLain of Stanford, who accomplished that feat in 2005-06.
WOMEN'S HAMMER
Junior Sara Cole grabbed a point in the women's hammer with an eighth-place throw of 164-9 as Sunday's championship day is underway.
EATON'S RARE DECATHLON/LONG JUMP DOUBLE
Ashton Eaton became just second person in Pac-10 history to win the league's decathlon title and long jump at the same championships. The only other man to do that was Arizona State's Dannie Jackson in 1979.
Oregon opens Sunday with 71 points in the men's competition, with a bunch of teams hovering around the 40 point mark. Watch for USC, which had many runners advance yesterday. Meanwhile, Arizona leads the women's competition with 71 points and Oregon is next with 65. The Ducks qualified for the finals in massive number yesterday, so there are points to be had, while the Wildcats will again be strong in the field.
