Justin LaTempa has been named the goducks.com Student Athlete of the Week for 5/3-5/10.
Right-hander Justin LaTempa was nearly untouchable on Saturday night at PK Park, tossing a complete-game, one-hit shutout. LaTempa, a redshirt senior from Huntington Beach, threw the first complete game of his collegiate career at Oregon, and also dealt a career-high 10 strikeouts. LaTempa’s complete game shutout was the first thrown by an Oregon pitcher since the program was reinstated. In his outing, LaTempa allowed just one hit, issued only one walk and hit one batter.Congratulations Justin!
